I’m an artist working out of my home studio in Pasadena, CA. I first picked up a paint brush as a means to help me cope with chronic illness. Painting is a deeply meditative act for me, and I gain a sense of peace through the creative process. What began as a hobby and tool for healing quickly evolved into a passion for making art.
In my latest work, I aim to capture the vibrant energy and beauty of southern California. I’m drawn to the landscape and plants of this area, and incorporate palm trees, succulents, and Joshua trees into my work. Having grown up on the east coast, these desert plants have an exotic and alluring feel to me. They also symbolically represent growth, resiliency, and survival.
I’m a member of the Pasadena Society of Artists and the Monrovia Association of Fine Arts.
